Protesters in northern Israel call for war with Hezbollah in Lebanon – Israel News

Residents and evacuees from northern Israel demonstrated outside a government meeting on Sunday morning, calling for war in the north and protesting against an agreement with Hezbollah. According to organizers, hundreds of demonstrators were present.

Participants who are active in the protest organization “Fight for the North” lay in sleeping bags on the street to block the entrance to the rally and make it clear that they had been “abandoned on the streets” by the Israeli government.

The protest was part of a day of “War for the North” that included other protests and activities.

The day was organized by the forum together with the right-wing non-governmental organization “Im Tirtzu”, the “Hope” forum, which is made up of hostage families who are calling for more military pressure on Hamas, and the “Valor” forum, which includes 150 families of soldiers killed in the war between Israel and Hamas.

Forum activist Rephael Slav held up a sign with bloody handprints at one of the protests that day, saying they represented the hands of all those who are signing a deal that “gives up our lives.”

“We will not allow anyone in the country to sign a deal about our lives. Sign a deal about your own life. We are going home to absolute safety,” he said.

Protests were planned for Sunday night in Haifa and Nahariya, and a tour of the northern municipality of Shlomi was planned for the afternoon.
