Taylor Swift’s girlfriend Gracie Abrams reveals that the singer once helped with a fire in her New York apartment; details in detail

Gracie Abrams recently revealed how Taylor Swift saved a fire. The Block Me Out singer recalled the time she spent at Taylor’s house when the disaster occurred.

Abrams recounted how the Grammy winner immediately stepped in to put out the fire when they discovered it, preventing Taylor Swift from burning down her house.

Taylor Swift put out fire in a New York apartment

Gracie Abrams recalled how Taylor Swift quickly put out a fire that engulfed her kitchen. The star said the incident took place in Swift’s $50 million New York apartment. Gracie also called her friend a “legend” for being quick on her feet when the fire broke out. “I don’t know how she knew what to do at that hour or in our state,” she added.

Gracie spoke about the incident in an interview with Billboard. Abrams described the events of the evening and recalled the dinner with the Grammy winner. She also said that she and Taylor were drinking a lot of cocktails when the incident occurred 6 months ago.

Abrams recounted how she and Taylor heard the sound of something falling in the kitchen. The Down Bad singer attributed the sound to one of her cats jumping around the house. Gracie revealed that she and Taylor noticed the kitchen on fire the next morning. Taylor immediately rushed to put out the fire. Abrams said that she and Taylor were coughing “from the fumes from the fire extinguisher for weeks” after the incident.

Gracie said that before the disaster, she spent the evening writing the song “Us.” The singer explained how inspiration came when she and Taylor were listening to instrumentals by Aaron Dessner. Gracie recounted how she and Taylor “ran” to the piano to write the song.

She added: “I always dreamed of something like this when I was a kid.” The song is set to be released as part of Gracie’s 13-track studio album, The Secret of Us, which is due out on June 21.
