SCVNews.com | Princess Cruises offers the festive cruise “The Love Boat”

For diehard fans of “The Love Boat,” the ultimate cruise experience has just dropped anchor. Santa Clarita-based Princess Cruises has announced an exclusive VIP package for its Love Boat cruise from August 32 to September 7, promising intimate, up-close encounters with the show’s beloved characters: Doc, Gopher, Isaac and Vicki Stubing.

Princess Cruises Celebrations Ambassador Jill Whelan (aka Vicki) will join other Love Boat cast members Bernie Kopell (Doc), Fred Grandy (Gopher) and Ted Lange (Isaac) on the second themed cruise to Canada/New England aboard Enchanted Princess. Ezra Freeman, the bartender from the recently aired reality dating series “The Real Love Boat” on CBS and Paramount+, will also sail with the stars.

Gavin MacLeod, the actor who rose to fame as the cheerful Captain Stubing in “The Love Boat,” died on May 29, 2021 at the age of 90.

The new Love Boat VIP package with exclusive access to the cast includes:

Cocktail party with an exclusive cast – practice the “Isaac finger point”.

Reserved Q&A seating in the Princess Theater – enjoy premium seating and hear fascinating stories from the cast as they reminisce about their favorite show memories.

Priority access to the cast meet and greet – be first in line and have your camera ready for personal photos and autographs.

Dinner with the Cast – the best dinner party of your life.

Love Boat T-shirt and mug – nostalgic swag with the show’s original logo.

Signed cast photo – a cruise souvenir.

Because space is limited, the Love Boat VIP package is priced at $450 per person and can be booked through a travel agent or by calling 1-800-Princess and specifying the Love Boat VIP package.

“After the overwhelming enthusiasm for the first themed cruise, we knew we had to create an exclusive experience for our superfans on the upcoming voyage,” said Jill Whelan, Celebrations Ambassador for Princess Cruises. “My colleagues and I are excited about the upcoming cruise where we can spend more time with these passionate cruisers and fans, and we can’t wait to hear how the show has impacted their lives.”

Additional Love Boat activities offered to all guests on board include:

Sailaway party to introduce the cast.

Opportunities for meet-and-greet photos.

The seven-day Love Boat Canada/New England cruise aboard the Enchanted Princess departs from New York City and sails round-trip to Boston, Eastport, Maine, Saint John, Canada (for the Bay of Fundy) and Halifax, Canada.

Princess Cruises was the ocean-going co-star in The Love Boat, a cruise that brought cruising to a wider audience and highlighted the romance of the sea. The cruise took Hollywood’s biggest stars to coveted destinations and the storylines always ended with a happy ending.
