Selena Gomez reveals who first said “I love you” to Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez rekindled her love for Benny Blanco.

The “Love On” singer revealed in a TikTok she shared on Friday that she was the first to say “I love you” in her relationship with Benny Blanco.

She shared the news while playing a “who’s most likely to…” couples competition on the app. The pair sat next to each other on the couch and the music producer lovingly hugged the singer and kissed her on the shoulder while revealing that she was the one to drop the “L” word first.

Gomez, 31, also revealed that she is the first to fall asleep during a movie, while her 36-year-old boyfriend is more likely to clean the house.

The two agreed that Blanco eats the most, but apparently disagreed when Gomez claimed he takes longer to get ready in the morning.

Neither of them had a clear opinion on the questions “Who apologizes first in an argument?”, “Who spends more money?” and “Who snores the loudest?”

When asked “Who is more romantic?” the “Eastside” singer showed pride in himself, but Gomez showed her ambivalent reaction with a hand gesture.

He also referred to himself for the question: “Who likes to be the big spoon?”

The couple agreed that neither of them would forget Valentine’s Day.

Gomez and Blanco have been together since last summer but did not make their relationship public until December 2023, when the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress called her boyfriend “the best thing that ever happened to her” on social media.

They openly show their love and often show their love on social media, where they share cozy snaps with each other.

In May, the Rare Beauty founder even said Blanco changed the course of her life by changing her plans to adopt a child at 35 if she didn’t meet anyone.

“I’m just enjoying every moment with him,” she added. “I don’t know what the future holds, but I know he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”

That same month, Blanco admitted that he thinks about having children with her “every day.”

He explained this as follows: “All I know is that when I look at her, I simply say, ‘I don’t know of a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always tell her.”

Before dating Blanco, Gomez had an infamous on-off relationship with Justin Bieber, who has collaborated with her now-boyfriend several times over the years.

She and Bieber – who is now expecting his first child with Hailey Bieber – officially called it quits in early 2018.

Blanco, for his part, has kept his love life extremely private. However, he was previously in a relationship with a model named Elsie Hewitt for several years.
