Professional opera singer and voice teacher Elizabeth Zharoff, who also runs the YouTube channel The Charismatic Voice, continues to explore the world of rock and metal. Join her as she performs the Skid Row classic “18 And Life” and provides a vocal analysis.

Elizabeth: “Before I listened to Skid Row for the first time a few months ago, I was expecting harsh vocals and demonic undertones, which were ultimately destroyed by Sebastian Bach’s sweet tenor and the beautiful ensemble of ‘I Remember You.’ I think it’s because I lived next to Skid Row in Los Angeles and felt that way. This time, I was prepared. Or was I not?”

Elizabeth has previously shared vocal analysis of Metallica, Dream Theater, Rush, Heart, Tenacious D, Sabaton, Motörhead, Ayreon, Faith No More, Black Sabbath, Arch Enemy, Epica, Deep Purple, Myles Kennedy, Scorpions, Heart, Blind Guardian, Devin Townsend, AC/DC, Triumph, Whitesnake, Queen, KISS, Guns N’ Roses, Opeth and The Cult.

Sebastian Bach’s new album Child Within The Man was recorded in Orlando, Florida; produced and mixed by Elvis Baskette; engineering by Jef Moll, assistant engineering by Josh Saldate; mastered by Robert Ludwig/Gateway Mastering. Bach wrote or co-wrote all 11 tracks on the album and sang all lead and backing vocals. Child Within The Man features guest appearances by John 5, Steve Stevens and Orianthi – all of whom co-wrote their respective tracks with Bach – as well as two tracks co-written with Myles Kennedy (“What Do I Got To Lose?” and “To Live Again’); Devin Bronson on guitar, Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Coulson (drums) complete the album’s lineup.

The album is available as a CD (jewel case), cassette and double LP in various color variations. The album cover has a special meaning as it was designed by Bach’s father, the well-known visual artist David Bierk. “This album cover was started in 1978 and completed in 2024!” says Sebastian.
