Japanese producer Hosokawa-Taku was taken into custody after being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a singer in her twenties.

According to reports from Weekly Bunshun on July 12, the incident occurred on April 4. Hosokawa is said to have invited the young singer to a restaurant in Tokyo under the pretense of giving her career advice. During the meeting, he is said to have laced her food with a sleeping pill. The disoriented victim was reportedly taken to a hotel and attacked.

The situation came to light when the victim’s family noticed her unusual condition after she returned home in a taxi and decided to take her to the hospital. Medical tests revealed that she had a sleeping pill in her body that she did not remember taking.

Hosokawa Taku – who has since been arrested – has denied the allegations. The producer claims that although he accompanied the victim to a hotel, he did not participate in any inappropriate acts.
