Denny Hamlin’s top driver Heim has proven that it is indeed a Corey Heim world and the rest of the field lives in it – he just won at Pocono for the fifth time this season! And no one could catch him. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t have to face challenges. The start of the race was not so great and he had to fight with strong competition from Eckes from the beginning. But he managed to secure the victory of the first stage. Despite a caution triggered by Rajah Caruth in the final 40-lap stage and a rain delay with eight laps remaining, Heim fended off attacks from Enfinger and Eckes to take the win.

The race, the longest Truck Series event at Pocono, was completed under the green light without overtime. Everyone, especially Denny Hamlin, had high hopes for Heim and he more than fulfilled them. He is now 11 points ahead of Eckes, who has himself scored three wins this season.. Sanchez, in third place, is 113 points off the leader, which gives an idea of ​​how far ahead they are of the rest of the field. A new story was created that Trey Ryan posted. Corey Heim wants redemption for last year!

Corey Heim was hoping to make amends for last year’s disaster. Last year he was leading on the final lap, but Kyle Busch came through the tunnel with a vengeance, shot past him and took the win. It was that loss that drove him to give it his all in this race. After the victory celebration, he explained why he was so determined to win the race.

He said, ““I feel like I was really down in the days after the (2023 Pocono) race. I knew I was going to come back here next year and win. I just came with that mindset and nobody was going to take it away from me, so I thought that the whole race and that’s what we did,” the Pocono race winner said on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio on X (0.34).”

Just like the last round last year, this time too, everything seemed to be going wrong. It looked like something could go wrong. But what a rescue from Heim. Enfinger led the last lap, but Heim didn’t let up. He raced through the lap, soon caught up and took the win he wanted so much. He didn’t want a déjà vu experience!

He even said he never thought he would be able to win five races this season and thanked his crew chief and team.
