Autopsy shows: Taylor Ann Green’s brother died of an overdose

Taylor Ann Green The final season of Southern Charm was a rough one for a number of reasons. She was, of course, dealing with drama within her circle of friends, mainly due to the breakdown of her relationship with Shep Rose. However, her personal problems ran even deeper. Last season, her former friend Olivia Flowers had to deal with the sudden death of her brother while filming the show. Shortly after the season ended, Taylor unfortunately had to deal with a similar situation. It was a coincidence of the worst kind.

It was revealed that Taylor’s brother, Richard Worthington “Worth” Green, died last June. He was 36 years old. At the time, few details were released about the cause of death. Taylor and her family paid him a touching public tribute without going into detail about what happened. Now, over a year later, we have some answers about Worth’s sudden and unexpected death and that only makes the situation more heartbreaking.

Worth’s cause of death

According to the autopsy report obtained by the US Sun, Worth died of an accidental overdose on June 8, 2023. He was found in his bedroom in Raleigh, North Carolina, just over a year ago. The report added that emergency responders found drug paraphernalia on his bedroom mattress. No further details were listed in the official report.

It’s heartbreaking in general when someone dies, especially unexpectedly at such a young age. But knowing that Worth apparently struggled with drugs makes the situation even sadder. There’s nothing we can do but keep Taylor and her family in our thoughts and send them love and positivity as they process the news and continue their grieving process.
