In his “Swifties era,” tennis legend Roger Federer shares a selfie with the singer of The Midnights

Roger Federer is reveling in his ‘Swiftie era’. The retired tennis legend recently attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour stop in Zurich, Switzerland, and even met the pop star. Federer expressed his love for the musician by sharing a backstage picture with the singer, writing, “In my Swiftie era,” along with a series of emojis. The picture appears to have been taken after the concert, with the tennis champ wearing his VIP lanyard around his neck. Taylor also wore the sparkly blue outfit she wore at the show.

The two shared a big smile for the selfie and beamed with happiness as they looked into the camera. Notably, Federer wasn’t alone. He was accompanied by his wife Mirka and their children Myla, Charlene, Leo and Lenny. Several other fan pages shared pictures of the family from the concert. One of them featured Roger wearing a pair of friendship bracelets with the names of Taylor’s popular songs like Anti-Hero and Champagne Problems.

Earlier this year, the tennis champion wanted to attend Swift’s concert. “We went to a lot of concerts last year. I didn’t sing, just played a little shaker. But we also saw Bruce Springsteen twice and Elton John. This summer Taylor Swift is coming to Switzerland, so of course we’ll go there, and ACDC too,” he told People.

Federer retired from the sport in 2022 after the Laver Cup, but continues to support the sport of tennis. He turned professional in 1998 at the age of 16. Over the years, Federer won 20 Grand Slam singles titles.

After Taylor ends her two-day stay at the Swiss Letzigrund Stadium with the last performance on July 10, she will travel on to Milan on July 13.
