Eminem’s emotional new song temporarily features the voice of his daughter Hailie as a toddler

While fans were clearly expecting another set of caustic tracks on his latest album, Eminem left everyone emotional with a heartbreaking number dedicated to his daughter. In his album “The Death of Slim Shady,” the rapper finally put an end to his alter ego while also addressing his daughter in the future after his death. The track “Temporary” features footage of his 28-year-old daughter Hailie Jade from her toddler years.

In an emotional love letter to his daughter, Eminem promises to always be with her, even after his death. “Temporary” begins with the words of the 51-year-old: “A lot of people ask me if I’m afraid of death. The truth is, I think what scares me the most is that I won’t be able to say all the things I want to say to you when I’m no longer here. So this song is for Hailie, in case that day comes.”

Since the song contains some adorable moments between father and daughter, it comforts Hailie even after his death. “Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song to help you deal with life now that I’m gone. How do I start? I just want to say to take care of Alaina, Stevie and Uncle Nate. And, honey, be strong,” he raps. Throughout the song, Eminem continues to motivate and push his daughter. “Don’t you dare shed a tear, what am I telling you? ‘Pull yourself together, little soldier,'” he says amid flashback footage of their conversations.

The song became an instant hit and fans admitted to having tears in their eyes while listening to it, with many sharing their reactions on social media.

Besides Temporary, Eminem dedicated another song to his children, including Hailie, Alaina and Stevie. In Somebody Save Me, the rapper apologizes to them for missing out on several parts of their lives due to his substance abuse. “Sorry for choosing drugs and putting them over you guys. Sorry for not loving you guys enough. Give them up, how the fuck can I not love you more than a pill? When I look up at the ceiling from this floor, I guess I will,” he raps.
