BTS Jimin’s latest solo song sets new record on Spotify

K-pop star Jimin from the famous boy band BTS has set a new record on Spotify with his latest solo song Smeraldo Garden Marching Band.

Released on June 28, the song became the fastest K-pop song to reach 50 million streams this year, in just nine days since its release.

Over and beyondSmeraldo Garden Marching Bandhas accumulated over 64 million streams in 11 days as of Tuesday.

On the day of its release, the song landed at number four on the platform’s Daily Top Song Global Chart, reaching over 8.64 million streams.

It was the biggest hit of any K-pop song this year, reaching 42.9 million streams on the Weekly Song Charts in the first week of July.

The song, which is part of his upcoming second solo album MUSE, was released ahead of the album’s official release, which is scheduled for July 19.

The new album is themed “Love” and tells Jimin’s personal story of searching for a source of inspiration.

Featuring rapper Loco, it combines hip hop and big band music into a pulsating rhythm and creates a marching band-style atmosphere.

It will consist of seven tracks, including the title song WHOalong with Rebirth (Introduction),Interlude: Showtime,Slow dance (with Sofia Carson),be mine,Closer than thatAnd Smeraldo Garden Marching Band.

MUSE appears one year after the singer released his first solo album FACE in March last year.
