Nancy Jane Taylor, 93, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Belmont Manor. She was born August 7, 1930, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Ferrell) Scammell. Nancy was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church, Kirkwood, Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority and the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired as vice president of Belmont National Bank and later retired from Citizens National Bank. Nancy also loved gardening and dancing.
She leaves behind a son, Charles (Debbie) Taylor; a daughter, Connie (Craig) Futey; four grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Alexander, Nathan (Julie) Alexander, Eric (Lindsey) Taylor, and Chad (Ashley) Taylor; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles Taylor in 2001, and her sister Dorothy Stidd.
Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Demerest officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
