Prodigy EP hints at possible third season of Captain Kirk as Chris Pine

Star Trek: Prodigy Co-Executive Producer Aaron J. Waltke recently spoke about the Star Trek lore of the series’ second season. The EP revealed that Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk could appear in season 2 for a 2-episode arc, hinting at the character’s possible involvement in a potential third season.

Waltke discussed the potential Star Trek: Prodigy crossover in an interview with Screen Rant. “I think at one point we discussed the possibility of what other universes we could explore,” he said. “And I think at one point we talked about even bringing in the Kelvin universe, but we just didn’t have time in the episode ‘Cracked Mirror’ where they go into all the different universes. And we thought, ‘Oh, what if we brought in Captain Kirk and had him help them in a few episodes?‘”
