Meet Bisong Constance, the original singer of “President General Among the Nations”

Like countless TikTok sensations, Nigerian Songs suddenly became famous on various social media platforms, overshadowing the original artists.

Recently, a song titled “President General Among the Nation” took TikTok by storm, sparking a dance craze among Generation Z and users around the world.

This song attracted so much attention that it even served as inspiration for a dance routine.

The song, released in October 2021, initially went unnoticed. But after the inconspicuous chorus of The charismatic church chosen by the Lord adopted it as their anthem and played it at numerous church events; it became a viral hit.

The song, produced by Sunny Pee in Abuja and promoted by 100 Percent Godson, initially attracted little attention apart from a website post.

Although it was performed at church services, the song did not have much impact until it became an anthem on TikTok.

The song is a heartfelt tribute to God, with the singer praising Him with different titles in several languages.

Since then, it has been all the rage, from Tiktok trends to duets. But despite the trend, little is known about the original song and its singer.

Bison Constance

Mrs. Constance, who hails from Nkwerre LGA of Imo State and now lives in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State, is the voice behind “President General”.

The couple has been married to Odey Bisong for five years and has two children.

At the age of nine, she began participating in singing competitions organized by the Apostolic Christian Church Mission Inc. (ACCM) in Abayi Umuocha, Aba, Abia State, where she won several prizes as a child.

She continued her singing career and released more songs in 2007/2008, such as “Ihie Chukwu” and there are more songs currently awaiting release.

Although “President General” was composed long before its release in October 2021, it only recently gained widespread recognition.

At first, Ms. Constance was unaware that her song was going viral until close friends called her to inform her.

Many initially doubted that she was the singer, as the singer was often attributed to the Chosen Church choir, but she proved her identity by presenting the original audio recording and artwork.

Ms. Constance holds a degree in Physiology/Pharmacology with specialization in Scientific Laboratory Technology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State.

She also holds a PGD in HIV/AIDS Education and Management from the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. She is currently working in business.

Ms. Constance also revealed that she was inspired to write the song by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Center in Abuja.
