One of the most promising wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class needs an extra week to make his college decision.
Four-star Bishop Gorman prospect Derek Meadows of Lax Vegas (Nev.), who is the No. 68 prospect in this cycle according to 247Sports’ Composite, was originally scheduled to announce his commitment tomorrow (Saturday, July 13). However, late Thursday night, it was announced that the 6-foot-5, 200-pound player was postponing his decision until the following Saturday (July 20).
Meadows, the No. 10 wide receiver and No. 1 player from the state of Nevada, had previously announced a “final five” that included Notre Dame, Alabama, LSU, Michigan and Georgia. Before this weekend, it looked like the Fighting Irish, Crimson Tide and Tigers had the edge. However, there were unconfirmed rumors on social media that the Wolverines could once again be a factor in the race for Meadows.
