Amazon has been offering a pretty decent selection of early Prime Day deals ahead of next week’s shopping event. One of these sales, a buy 2, get 1 free promotion, has been an excellent source of hidden deals on games, books, manga, and more. It can just be a bit tricky to navigate directly to the sales page if you don’t already know what you’re looking for.
Personally, when I was browsing this sale for books to buy, I noticed that not only is the Harry Potter box set included in this sale, but you can also get the buy 2 get 1 free promotion on all of the illustrated Harry Potter editions. I actually already own the entire illustrated collection and they are by far my favorite way to read the books. Each book in the series is also heavily discounted as part of the sale, so it’s a great time to grab the whole set for less.

These Harry Potter illustrated editions were illustrated by Jim Kay and currently only cover Book 5. Unfortunately, Jim Kay has since stepped down from his role and no longer works on illustrations, so it’s unclear if and when we’ll get versions for The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows. That being said, the first 5 books are a delight and the illustrations perfectly capture the magic that Harry Potter fans have come to love. With the upcoming Harry Potter TV series in the pipeline, it’s a good time to re-read the series in a new way.
Although the illustrated editions are the most tempting Harry Potter books in Amazon’s 3 for 2 deal, there are also some book set deals worth checking out. If you don’t already own a complete set of the Harry Potter books, it’s worth checking out the options in the deal below.
