MINNEAPOLIS — In honor of the fallen Minneapolis police officer Jamal MitchellCountry singer Gary Allan is giving away a VIP concert experience to help Mitchell’s family, Fundraising platform Alltroo announced.

Proceeds from the fundraiser, held in partnership with radio station K102, will benefit Mitchell’s family through the Law Enforcement Labor Services Benevolent Fund, a nonprofit organization that assists the families of Minnesota public safety workers who have been seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

“This was a tragic loss for Minneapolis, but more importantly for Officer Mitchell’s family,” said Gary Allan. “It is my honor and privilege to do what I can, with the help of Alltroo and K102, to bring the community together. We hope this campaign makes life a little easier for the Mitchell family as they mourn the loss of such a heroic man.”

Mitchell was killed in the line of duty when he stopped to help an apparently injured person. Instead, the man shot Mitchell, Minneapolis police said.

The fundraiser offers two VIP tickets to Allan’s Aug. 17 show at the Corcoran Country Daze in Osseo, Minnesota. The prize also includes a meet-and-greet with the singer, the opportunity to sit stageside, and transportation and hotel accommodations, Alltroo explained.

The competition ends on July 26th and the winner will be announced on August 14th. To enter, Click here.
