Garbage singer Shirley Manson celebrated her sister’s birthday in Edinburgh before the TRNSMT performance

Garbage singer Shirley Manson met her sister when she landed on Scottish soil to play at the TRNSMT festival.

Shirley, from Edinburgh, shared a picture of Princes Street online with the caption “Home”, and also shared a snap of her big sister Lindy Jayne at Howie’s Bar and Restaurant in the capital as she celebrated her birthday.

She said, “It’s my beautiful big sister’s birthday.”

Meanwhile, backstage, Picture This listened to the sound of the Sugababes and reminisced about their performances as the opening act for Westlife in Ireland.

They admitted that the most rock star-like event was drummer Jimmy Rainsford leaving the casino at 5:30 this morning.

Jimmy said: “I didn’t win. I didn’t lose much, but mentally and emotionally maybe a lot. Financially I was fine, but I don’t know why I did it.”

He added: “I’m a victim of Glasgow. I had five beers last night and that was it.”

Singer Ryan Hennessey said the guys had a lot of fun at their last festival of the season.
