An upcoming animated racing film that Warner Bros. is heavily involved in has just received a new casting update. A new report from THR revealed that Hayley Atwell is part of the voice cast of European Grand Prix, the first animated film from the German theme park EuropPark. In addition to Atwell, Gemma Arterton And Thomas Brodie-SangsterArterton is best known for her role in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Timebut also appeared in The King’s Man And battle of the titansAs for Sangster, his most notable role is that of Labyrinth Runner trilogy in which he plays Newt, but he also played a small role in The Force Awakens and appeared as Jojen Reed in the first seasons of game of Thrones.
The film is about Edda (Arterton), a young mouse and daughter of fairground operator Erwin, who is an aspiring racing driver. Before the 50th anniversary of one of the world’s biggest racing events, the European Grand Prix, Edda meets her idol Ed (Sangster) and helps her father save the family business. Edda gets caught in a web of responsibility and personal desires: she longs to spend time with her hero, but feels obligated to help her father. Waldermar Fast will control European Grand PrixAnd Kirstie Falkous, John ReynoldsAnd Jeff Hylton will all serve as writers on the project. The film does not yet have an official release date, but is currently slated for release sometime in 2025.

Atwell has long established herself as one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, and she has achieved this through her many strong performances, her charm and her keen eye for good scripts. Just last year she played a leading role alongside Tom Cruise In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1and reprised her role as Peggy Cater in the Disney+ animated series. What if…? and she also has several other exciting projects in the works. Atwell will lend her voice to Lara Croft in the upcoming adaptation Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croftthe series directed by Joey Soloway with a script by Tasha Huo.
