Guess who’s back.
Eminem released his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” on Friday and didn’t hold back with his jabs, firing off digs at Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kanye West, Megan Thee Stallion and others.
The 51-year-old “Stan” rapper used a play on words in a song titled “Fuel” to denounce the ongoing charges against Combs – including allegations of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and sex trafficking.
“I’m like a rapper / Got so many S-As, S-As,” Eminem raps on the track. “Wait, he didn’t just write the word ‘rapper’ and leave out a P, did he?” Eminem then asked, apparently referring to the controversial artist’s former stage name, P. Diddy.
Combs’ ex-partner Cassie Ventura sued the Bad Boy Records founder for rape and abuse last November. Video footage later surfaced showing Combs beating the “Me & U” singer in a hotel in 2016. He apologized for the incident in a video he shared on social media.
Following Ventura’s allegations, several other people came forward with rape allegations. Combs’ homes were also raided by the FBI as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. The rapper has vehemently denied all allegations.
As for Eminem, his jabs at Combs didn’t stop at “Fuel.” He seemed to include him in at least two more tracks on his 12th studio album.
“The next idiot that asks me out is getting his ass kicked / Worse than Diddy,” says Eminem in “Antichrist.”
“But seriously, / She probably ran out the room with his damn dildo / He tried to beat her with a field goal but she said to relax (nope) / Now put it back in my ass and get that steel toe cap.”
Fans are also convinced that Eminem made allegations that Combs – who also previously performed under the stage name “Puffy” – once blew up Kid Cudi’s car.
“I should go back to these sleeping pills / ‘Cause I’m so caught up in my bad habits / Then I’m screwed either way,” raps Eminem in “Bad One” feat. White Gold.
“People still seem to think they want that old guy of mine ’til they get him / They as upset as jungle gyms / The damn bomb with the puffy on it / I’m exploding for Kid Cudi’s car / In front of his house where all his buddies at.”
But Combs wasn’t the only rapper that Eminem dragged through the mud.
The “8 Mile” star (real name: Marshall Bruce Mathers III) also addressed West’s downward spiral in “Bad One.”
“One line of blush, foundation set / ‘Cause I make you mad,” he sings. “The brain is dead, space cadet / Like when Ye forget to take his meds.”
Eminem continued his attacks on West in his song “Antichrist,” apparently referring to the drama between the Yeezy founder, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and their arch-nemesis Taylor Swift.
“Damn, Dre, look at what you made me do / Maybe you should be the one they should blame,” raps Eminem, referencing the title of Swift’s 2017 song “Look What You Made Me Do” from her album “Reputation.”
“Say they wish I wasn’t so mad (yeah) / They wanna see me go crazy like ye, ayy (nah) / They’d rather see me do it like Kim Kardashian, they say (yeah), yeah / And find a way to get rid of all this anger.”
The “Real Slim Shady” rapper also took the opportunity to mention Meghan Thee Stallion’s name while rapping about the same song.
“’Cause I can spit a bar that’s a / Cross between Nas and GZA, Biggie Smalls and RZA / So hard, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj gon’ scissor it (cut it out),” he sings.
“It’s still the press’s wet dream / too many shrinks / My head’s thinking nonsense, I’ve said things in jest / They should arrest me for my testicles.”
Eminem then delivered another low blow to the “WAP” artist by alluding to how rapper Tory Lanez allegedly shot her in the foot in July 2020.
“If I asked Megan Thee Stallion to collaborate with me / Would I really have a chance at success? (Ha!) I don’t know, but I’m glad to be back like Abra-Abracadabra,” he sings in “Houdini.”
