The tandem of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way has launched its first offensive of 2024, packing considerable firepower with guest support from none other than Corey Taylor of Slipknot.

“70% Dead” showcases the unfiltered, albeit stylized, aggression that has become Wargasm’s trademark, while also pushing the boundaries of their creativity on a track that is pure celebration. The single follows the acclaimed release of their 2023 LP Venom, which was propelled by the success of impactful singles such as “Do It So Good,” “Bang Ya Head” ft. Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, and “Modern Love.”

Packed with all the biting social commentary the duo have become famous for, ‘70% Dead’ is the powerful combination of articulate angst backed by one of the best producers of all time.

The band said of the release: “We were touring the US with Corey – Sam was on the mic with him during his set and we just felt that the voices fit well together. It made perfect sense to do something new with the three of us and well… if you don’t ask, you don’t get.”

Some OG fans might recognize the lyrics, it’s been a long time coming. “70% Dead” is a cry against a world gone mad; war, disease, inequality. It feels like something is brewing. “Damn, what went wrong? I’m sick of sleeping on the muzzle of a loaded gun.”

The single comes as the band prepares for a performance at 2000Trees as well as a handful of other dates and festival appearances. A full list of tour dates can be found HERE.
