George Kittle reveals he texted this hilarious Taylor Swift request to Travis Kelce during Christian McCaffrey’s wedding

George Kittle reveals he texted this hilarious Taylor Swift request to Travis Kelce during Christian McCaffrey’s wedding

The wedding of Christian McCaffery and Olivia Culpo, which took place on June 29 in Rhode Island, was indeed a star-studded event, with numerous NFL greats in attendance.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was also in attendance at the event and recently shared a hilarious anecdote from his teammate’s wedding.

During an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Kittle revealed a humorous text exchange with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The 49ers star noticed that her location was in close proximity to Taylor Swift’s residence and made a cheeky request.

“I texted Travis and said, ‘Hey, I have to go to the bathroom. Do you mind? Did Taylor leave a key somewhere?'” Kittle said, drawing laughter from the audience.

Kelce’s response was equally amusing. Kittle said, “He said, ‘You can try to get in, but I think security will get you out.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to try that.'”

Christian McCaffrey’s wedding and Taylor Swift’s connection

The wedding itself featured NFL talent, with guests including former Carolina Panthers stars Greg Olsen and Luke Kuechly as well as 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

The proximity to Swift’s Rhode Island estate, known as Holiday House, added an additional exciting dimension to the event.

The couple’s romance has been the focus of media attention since Swift began attending Chiefs games last September.

During the episode, Kittle mentioned that he did not ask Kelce for tickets to Swift’s hugely popular Eras Tour.

When asked if other NFL players had made similar requests, Kittle speculated, “I bet (former tight end) Greg Olsen has.”

Swift’s connection to the NFL has grown significantly over the past year, with the singer attending 13 Chiefs games during the 2023 season, including Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

The league has even taken Swift’s tour dates into account when scheduling games, although not to the extent that some fans suspect.

Travis Kelce’s decision to reject Netflix’s receiver

In other NFL-related news, Kittle also addressed Travis Kelce’s decision to decline to participate in the new Netflix series “Receiver.”

At the show’s July 9 premiere, Kittle jokingly told Us Weekly, “I think Travis was just afraid that there wasn’t enough excitement happening in his life. He just didn’t want to disappoint the viewers at home. That’s all.”

In the reality series, Kittle appears alongside other NFL stars such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams and Deebo Samuel.

Kelce, who previously starred in the dating show Catching Kelce in 2016, expressed his disinterest in returning to reality TV during a podcast appearance.

During his appearance on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Kelce said, “I’m sick of the reality shit. I’m out of that shit,” Kelce explained, adding, “I’d rather just play along, man. I’m already busy enough with the podcast and everything.”

St. Brown, one of the star receivers, responded diplomatically to Kelce’s decision, saying, “I can’t speak for him. I don’t know why he declined. Maybe he had other things in mind, whatever the case may be. Everyone’s situation is different.”

With the new season approaching, it is clear that the NFL’s entertainment value extends far beyond the field.
