Chris Simms rates 40 NFL quarterbacks (including Giants’ Daniel Jones)

Chris Simms continued his annual tradition of ranking NFL quarterbacks this offseason, and his latest rankings ahead of the 2024 season were released by NBC Sports.

It’s business as usual for the New York Giants. Assuming he recovers from a torn ACL, Daniel Jones will start Week 1. The plan is for him to play in all 17 games. If that doesn’t work out, general manager Joe Schoen has signed Drew Lock as a backup to replace Tyrod Taylor, who now plays across town with the New York Jets.

Simms has complimented Jones more than many others in recent years, and even after a disastrous 2023 season, he hasn’t completely given up hope in DJ.
