Ice Spice and Central Cee release music video for “Did It First”

Ice Spice and Central Cee released their first collaboration “Did It First” along with an accompanying music video on Thursday, the latest song off the artist’s upcoming debut album “In Ha Mood.” Year 2000.

“If he cheat on me, I make him worse, no, I hit reverse/I don’t trip, I hold my purse/I don’t care ’cause he did it first,” raps Ice Spice in the song’s intro. Central Cee doesn’t hide his infidelity in the song, explaining, “If I went to court for all the times I got caught, I’d have about 16 felons.”

The two rappers teased the song earlier this week and it went viral on TikTok. In keeping with Ice Spice’s signature aesthetic, the video shows the rapper dancing in front of a corner shop and twerking while lying on her bed. In keeping with the Year 2000 theme, the video also features a vintage desktop computer and chat room imagery.

“Did It First” is the fourth song that Ice Spice has released Millennium! Publication of 26 July, following “Thinking of You, Shit (Fart)”, “Gimmie A Light” and “Phat Butt”. Rolling Stone named the album one of the 10 most anticipated rap albums of 2024 earlier this year.

In addition to the album release, Ice Spice is also planning a headlining tour of her own, which begins in Washington, DC in late July. The North American tour includes stops in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other cities before ending in Miami on August 31.
