Following the death of Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys from ALS on Tuesday, country star Blake Shelton released a loving tribute to the artist who was in the spotlight for over 50 years.

Blake Shelton shared a tribute to the star

Blake Shelton posted a touching tribute online following the death of Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys.

Joe died on Tuesday at the age of 76 from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was part of the legendary country band for over 51 years, but announced his retirement in January of this year due to his illness.




Blake posted a photo of himself on stage with the Oak Ridge Boys singing together on his Instagram story and Facebook page. The former judge of The Voice captioned the post: “I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of my friend Joe Bonsall.”

Blake shared the photo as part of his tribute

He added: “I NEVER saw Joe when he wasn’t smiling and full of life. He loved singing like no one I’ve ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and brothers @theoakridgeboys. We all lost a special person today.”
