158 voice actors compete for your attention – GoldDerby

The Television Academy has recognized exclusively voice-over performances since 1992, when six actors from “The Simpsons” became the first actors to receive an Emmy for such performances. The Best Voice-Over Performance category became an official, non-juried category in 2009, and was split into two categories in 2014: Best Character Voice and Best Narrator. Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons”) was the first champion in this category, having been nominated once before for the same series.

Voting for Best Character Voice Actor 2024 includes 158 performances, 10 more than last year. Looking for her fourth win, Maya Rudolphwho plays Connie, the hormone monster, in “Big Mouth.” Former winners are also present Hank Azaria (“The simpsons”), Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”) and Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”).

Unlike the nominees for live-action and fictional programs, which are voted on by all 20,000-plus members of the Academy, the nominees for Best Voice A Character are chosen only by voters from the casting directors and cast departments. They now have until June 24 to cast their votes, which will then be counted to determine the six nominees, who will be announced on July 17. Which of the voice actors listed below do you think has a chance at gold?
