Big Sky, Montana – The Yellowstone Club Community Foundation (YCCF) today announced that it is providing $1,668,500 in grants to 33 nonprofit organizations and qualified government entities, such as schools and libraries, that serve communities in the greater Big Sky region as part of its Spring 2024 grant cycle. In fiscal year 2024, which includes the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 grant cycles, YCCF awarded $2,214,805 in grants to local and regional partner organizations.

The 33 grantees included the Center for Mental Health Research and Recovery at Montana State University and the Department of Counseling, School Counseling Program. Dr. Katey Franklin and Dr. Rebecca Koltz of Montana State University commented, “This funding will go a long way in supporting the mental health of rural Montana youth as we work to get our online school program up and running. We are truly grateful.”

“We are honored to support the great work of local organizations in Big Sky, Bozeman and the greater southwest Montana that are committed to food security, stable housing, natural resource protection and accessible mental health care,” said Ciara Wolfe, YCCF Vice President of Philanthropy. “Our foundation was created by members of the Yellowstone Club who wanted to make an even greater philanthropic impact on the community. We congratulate the grantees and look forward to working with them to help our neighbors.”

The YCCF’s spring grant focused on investing in key needs in the areas of quality of life, health and well-being, the environment, arts and culture, and education. Special grants will support access to free or low-cost mental health care, affordable housing and quality child care. To support area youth, grants will provide scholarships, programs, and sports and outdoor equipment for summer camps, outdoor adventure experiences and mentoring. Foundation funds will also support workforce development initiatives for mental health staff, as well as snow sports instructors and ski patrollers.
