Morgan Wade releases the fourth song from “Obsessed”, “Moth To A Flame” this Friday

She doesn’t miss.

Morgan Wade is preparing for the release of her third studio album Obsessed in August, and she announced on Instagram this afternoon that “Moth to a Flame” will be released everywhere this Friday, June 21st.

In the wonderfully honest song, she enjoys the fact that she has finally found a partner who stays with her every day, instead of being desperate at the end of a relationship like she always does.

As usual, it contains beautiful poems and poetry, and Morgan notes that it is a great joy to finally be able to write about “those who stayed” rather than “those who got away.”

I just love this play on words:

“Turn the music down,
I just want to hear you say my name.
I have sworn off the hard stuff,
But you sent a fire through my veins,

And I wrote all the songs about them,
This was lost,
Thank God I was finally able to write the song about the One
That has decided to stay”

So far we have heard “2AM in London”, “Halloween” and “Time to Love, Time to Kill” by Obsessed Tracklist, but this is perhaps my favorite:

“I didn’t want to wait until my new album comes out on August 16th to release this song – so I’m releasing it early! ‘Moth To A Flame’ is out this Friday.”

Morgan previously played a beautiful acoustic version during an acoustic set at the Country Music Hall of Fame as part of her In the hall Series some time ago:

Obsessed is a 14-track solo album produced by Morgan’s touring guitarist Clint Wells and is scheduled for release everywhere on August 16.
