Taylor Fritz admitted he was “hurt” after being knocked out of Wimbledon in a five-set thriller by Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
The American was eliminated from the tournament after losing his quarterfinal 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
“Everyone loves Wimbledon,” he wrote on Thursday under a series of Instagram snapshots.
“It was a tough game yesterday. It always hurts to lose by a narrow margin, but that’s part of the game. Now all I can do is rest, get back to work and have a good flight home,” he added.
His girlfriend, fashion influencer Morgan Riddle, was there along with Keira Knightley to support him from his box. And Queen Camilla who were also spotted in the crowd.

Meanwhile, Morgan Riddle was seen interviewing Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall.
The social media sensation had previously shared a clip in which she interviewed “Sex and the City” actress Kim Cattrall.
“Two years ago I posted a silly little TikTok and today I interviewed THE Samantha Jones,” Riddle captioned a video showing her in a cool cream trench coat while talking to the TV icon.
The 26-year-old has collaborated with the tournament and hosted a series called “Wimbledon Threads,” in which she interviews fans and famous faces of the notoriously glamorous event about their outfits.
The blonde beauty also made headlines earlier this week when she got into an argument with Alexander Zverev after Fritz knocked him out in the round of 16.
The German player, who was accused of physically abusing the mother of his child in 2020, agreed to pay her $217,820 as part of a settlement last year.
However, he was found not guilty.

After his loss to 26-year-old Fritz, Zverev said he was annoyed by some people in the California native’s box who “maybe weren’t from the tennis world.”
“His team is extremely respectful. I think his coach, his physiotherapist and also his second coach are extremely respectful,” said Zverev.
“I think there are a few other people in the box who maybe aren’t from the tennis world, who maybe haven’t seen every single game. They overdid it a little bit.”
It seemed to be a reference to Riddle, who had described Fritz’s victory as a “victory for the girls” in a now-deleted Instagram story.
She later addressed the cryptic post, clarifying: “Regarding my stories from yesterday… I immediately removed them when I realized the misunderstanding and how much the media had blown them out of proportion.”
She continued: “This was not about incidents off the court and there is no animosity between anyone.”
