eNASCAR College iRacing Series returns for 2024-25 season – iRacing.com

NASCAR, iRacing and Playfly Sports are excited to announce the return of the eNASCAR College iRacing Series for the 2024-25 season. Once again, iRacing’s top collegiate oval racers will compete in nine events in NASCAR Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series cars for their share of a $60,000 scholarship prize pool. In addition, for the first time, the top two racers in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway will receive a guaranteed series spot on the road to the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

“We are thrilled to bring the eNASCAR College iRacing Series back for another season,” said Tony Gardner, President of iRacing. “These races are some of the most exciting and competitive on iRacing, and many of the College Series’ top drivers are also primed for success in our other series. We are especially pleased to offer this year’s College Series champion and runner-up guaranteed spots on the eNASCAR Road to Pro leaderboard.”

“We are excited to continue our partnership with iRacing and Playfly Sports for the 2024-25 eNASCAR College iRacing Series,” said Ray Smith, Director, Gaming & Esports, NASCAR. “With a record number of participating colleges and universities last season, this series highlights the exceptional talent in collegiate racing and provides a unique platform for young motorsports fans. We look forward to seeing these students compete for scholarships and taking advantage of the new opportunities this season brings.”

“This series allows students to compete on behalf of their schools in official NASCAR events that are professionally broadcast on multiple streaming platforms, using cars and tracks known for their real-world racetrack presence,” said Curtis Winger, VP Operations at Playfly. “We are excited to announce the 2024-2025 season and can’t wait for it to kick off later this year.”

iRacers will once again host a series of iRacing Time Attacks to qualify for the first eight events of the season, with 10 days to set their best times in each car-track combination. The top 40 qualified drivers will be invited to compete in the A-Main, where they can compete for cash scholarships and season points, while those who don’t make it will have the B-Main and subsequent races on the line. The top 25 point scorers from the eight A-Mains will then be invited to compete in the Finals, where the largest portion of the scholarship pool – including $10,000 for the race winner – will be on the line.

The previous season of the eNASCAR College iRacing Series concluded last month with Iowa’s Steven Wilson, the already reigning eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series champion, emerging victorious. Wilson defeated fellow former eNASCAR Championship 4 drivers Logan Clampitt (Cal State Fullerton) and Garrett Lowe (UNC-Charlotte) after leading 71 of the race’s 90 laps from the pole.
