Chris Jericho has no plans to retire anytime soon

When it’s time to retire, Chris Jericho will know.

During a recent appearance on “McGuire on Wrestling,” the first AEW World Champion was asked about his possible retirement after it was announced that John Cena will retire from WWE after a retirement tour in 2025.

The 53-year-old noted that he still enjoys AEW and is confident that he can continue to contribute at a high level. He sees no reason to stop any time soon.

“I’ll know when it’s time, you know? I really enjoy what I do and I’m still a high contributor. I can still have the best match on the show on any given night — not every night, but any given night. And I just love what we’re doing with AEW right now. So there’s really no rush. And when I know, I’ll know. And I think that’s the best way to put it. And right now, I’m having too much fun and enjoying it and really enjoying building AEW. We’ve come so far in just five years and we’ve got so much more to do at the highest level. So from that standpoint, we’ll see. And right now, as long as I’m having fun and enjoying myself and feeling comfortable in the ring and out of it, there’s no reason to stop.”said Jericho.

During his match with HOOK on AEW Dynasty, he was pelted with chants of “Please back off,” which he reportedly expected. In March, Jericho said he had no plans to leave AEW.
