Big Chris Jericho match finally confirmed – TJR Wrestling

AEW’s Chris Jericho will walk through the Forbidden Door as the date and location of a major international bout has now been confirmed.

At the CMLL Super Viernes show on June 28 in Mexico City, Mistico teamed with Esfinge and Volador Jr. to defeat Los Infernales and Angel de Oro in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls six-man tag team match at Arena Mexico.

After the match, Mistico was attacked by a mysterious masked man and hit with a Codebreaker and then a Judas Effect Elbow to the head. The mask was then removed and the mysterious attacker turned out to be Chris Jericho. Jericho then challenged Mistico to a match anywhere, anytime and now this match has been officially confirmed.

CMLL has now announced social media It was announced via two videos featuring Jericho and Mistico that the match was scheduled for CMLL’s 91st anniversary event on September 13th at Arena Mexico.

FTW Champion Chris Jericho was in action on the July 10 edition of AEW Dynamite, facing Samoa Joe in a Stampede Street Fight. Jericho got help from Big Bill and Bryan Keith and won the fight via referee stoppage after Bill chokeslammed Joe onto a forklift before Jericho drove the truck through a wall.
