Fort Carson hosts the Tough Mudder endurance event series

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Get your running shoes ready – the Tough Mudder endurance event series is coming to Fort Carson on July 20 and 21.

The event tests participants’ physical strength and camaraderie in a series of races. Registered participants ages 14 and older can sign up for one of three distances: a 5K run with 12+ obstacles, a 15K run with 20+ obstacles, or a race called “Infinity,” where athletes have up to nine hours to complete as many laps as possible.

The run is organized by the Fort Carson Directorate of Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation in partnership with Tough Mudder Inc.

Race start times vary depending on track length and day. The Infinity track is only available on Saturdays.

The courses take place in Fort Carson’s training areas two and four, which are accessible via Gate 6 from Highway 115 North.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but prior registration is required. You can register here. There are also volunteer opportunities.
