Make way for Bridgerton, Netflix has a new most-streamed series

Bridgeton has long been the most-watched series on Netflix, but now it is in danger of losing its crown.

The drama’s signature blend of passion, period costumes, and romance has had us swooning since the hit series’ third season released on May 16, reminding us of life in the early 19th century.

But now it seems that the queen has been deposed by, er, a king.

According to Neilson Streaming figures, Bryan Cranston is currently the hit of the month for TV fans after the hit series “Your Honor” stormed to the top of the charts.

The show first hit screens in 2021 and has now been watched for more than 1.53 billion minutes since its release on the platform.

It’s a series that almost tripled its airtime on Netflix and Paramount+ during the week of June 3rd.

The series was originally planned as a single-season miniseries for 2020, but to the delight of fans, the second season ended in 2023.

Cranston transforms into a New Orleans judge who will do anything to protect his family – and it’s safe to say that the whole thing is more reminiscent of “Breaking Bad” in terms of pace and intensity.

This high-profile drama was developed by experienced showrunner Peter Moffat and has already achieved around 544 million streams in its first week on the streaming service.

What does that mean? Well, it’s gone, knocking Bridgerton off the top spot.

However, we can’t watch the film on Netflix here in the UK yet due to licensing conflicts – so you’ll have to switch to Prime Video to watch it for now.

The full list of shows streaming in the US can be found below.

It’s worth noting that Nielsen is a US-based streaming service and only covers streaming on TVs, meaning shows watched on computers or mobile devices aren’t counted toward the total.

Be sure to head over to Prime Video to see what all the fuss is about.
