War between Israel and Hamas: Sniper and commander of a Hamas unit, who was involved in the October 7 attack, killed in Israeli attack in Gaza

Ahmed Hassan Salame Alsauarka, a Hamas troop commander and sniper who was involved in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, was killed in an attack in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday.

The deadly attack on Alsauarka was carried out based on intelligence information from the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency (ISA).

“IAF aircraft carried out a precise and targeted strike to eliminate Hamas terrorist Ahmed Hassan Salame Alsauarka in the Beit Hanoun area in the northern Gaza Strip,” the IDF tweeted, sharing video of the attack.

The video of the operation shows a targeted air strike that resulted in an explosion that eliminated the terrorist.

“Alsauarka was a squad leader in the Nukhba Forces who infiltrated and attacked communities in southern Israel during the October 7 massacre, killing 1,189 people,” the IDF wrote.

The Israel Defense Forces stated that numerous steps were taken during the operation to reduce harm to civilians and that no civilian injuries were reported in the attack.

“Alsauarka led and directed sniper activities in the Beit Hanoun area and participated in Hamas’ attacks on IDF forces. Before the attack, a number of steps were taken to reduce harm to civilians during the operation. As a result, no civilian was injured during the attack,” the IDF wrote.

The Israeli military continues to operate in central Gaza, focusing on eliminating immediate threats and destroying terrorist infrastructure. Recently, Israeli forces attacked and destroyed a mortar launch pad that was being used to attack their troops.
