Fiery Bill O’Reilly says Obama and Ron Klain decided Biden could not win

(NewsNation) – Bill O’Reilly says former President Barack Obama and Ron Klain, President Joe Biden’s former chief of staff, decided Biden “has to go.”

During a heated discussion with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, O’Reilly insisted to Cuomo that Obama and Klain were the “most powerful” voices in the Democratic Party.

“It doesn’t matter what the members of Congress say,” O’Reilly said. Obama and Klein “have made the decision that Biden can’t beat Trump in Biden’s state, primarily because they believe there will be a number of other incidents before the vote.”

Biden will hold a press conference on Thursday, the key event of a monumental week in which the Democratic incumbent fends off calls for him to step down as the party’s presumptive nominee following his shaky debate performance.

O’Reilly said that if Biden “garbles” at the press conference, “he will have to resign.”

“Donald Trump wants to run against Joe Biden,” O’Reilly added. “He believes Biden is the easiest target for him, I think. And he believes it for the same reason Obama wants to get rid of Biden. The reasons are the same.”

Biden’s letter to lawmakers

In a letter to Democratic lawmakers on Monday, Biden said he was “determined” to run in the 2024 election.

Biden wrote in his letter that he had had “extensive conversations” with party leadership, elected officials and voters over the past 10 days, adding that they had “serious fears and concerns” about what is at stake in this election.

“Believe me, I know better than anyone the responsibility and burden that our party’s nominee bears,” Biden wrote.

But “the question of what to do next has been debated at length for over a week,” Biden wrote. “And it’s time for that to end.”

Biden was asked whether he should be the Democratic presidential nominee following his heavily criticized performance at the first presidential debate two weeks ago. As he debated presumptive Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump, Biden stumbled over his words and appeared confused at times. Although Trump made several incorrect statements during the debate, concerns about Biden’s age and mental fitness took center stage.

Biden wrote to Democrats in Congress: “I would not run again if I did not firmly believe that I am the best man to beat Donald Trump in 2024.

“We can draw on a historic success story.”

What the polls say

The Cook Political Report now predicts that Trump will win three crucial swing states: Nevada, Georgia and Arizona. Biden won all three of these states in 2020.

An analysis of recent opinion polls by the New York Times also found that if the election were held today, Trump would win with 312 votes in the Electoral College, thereby winning virtually every swing state.

While Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are still undecided, according to the Cook Political Report, Trump is currently ahead in all three states in recent polls. Biden won all three in 2020, and these states could also be crucial to the winner in November this year.
