Dionne Warwick quits The Masked Singer

Dionne Warwick is the first candidate to leave “The Masked Singer”.

The 83-year-old star, one of the most successful singers of all time, was unmasked as Weather on the ITV show.

Weather dropped several clues about her identity throughout the series.

She teased: “Sun, wind and rain are important parts of my being, but one of the panelists has seen me before.”

The music icon also described himself before the series as “very unpredictable”.

Dionne explained, “You know, the weather is very unpredictable.”

Dionne also appeared on “The Masked Singer” in the US in 2020, where she appeared as a mouse.

At the time, the award-winning singer admitted that she found it difficult to keep her identity secret.

She said: “Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to disguise my voice in this case and since they have recognised my voice, there is nothing I can do about it.”

Meanwhile, Joel Dommett previously claimed that the new series would feature “some of the best singers” in the show’s history.

The TV presenter said: “I think we definitely have some of the best singers we’ve ever had on the show and we’ve had some really incredible ones in the past.

“The show goes through an interesting twist: we’re all here for the new characters, but then maybe the better singers make it to the final rounds, usually the finale.

“Let’s be honest, usually at this point there are some really incredible singers left. This year I really feel like we have some of the best singers we’ve ever had.”
