Shakur Stevenson escalates dispute with Cam’ron by threatening to release a song

Shakur Stevenson and Cam’ron have contentious personalities. The thing is, they usually keep their arguments to their respective areas of expertise. Stevenson talks bad about other boxers while Cam’ron makes fun of other rappers. However, their mutual disdain has led to a feud that has spanned across various media. Cam’ron claimed he would beat the “fire and spit” out of the boxer if he ever saw him, and Shakur Stevenson decided to return the favor by saying he would write a song about the rapper.

The claim was made on July 9 via Twitter, but to understand it, we have to look at the entire interaction between Shakur Stevenson, Cam’ron, and Cam’s podcast partner Mase. The latter two insulted Stevenson on their podcast. It is what it is. They claimed he was a bad fighter, which led to a Twitter exchange in which Stevenson claimed he was “ready for war.” Cam chimed in, noting how easy it was to insult the boxer. “I see why they call you Shakur Twitterson,” the rapper joked. “My n**ga, tweeting about me and Mase for four hours is wild. You boring n**ga! I thought I was pretty polite about it.”

Shakur Stevenson attacked Cam’ron and Mase on Twitter

Stevenson had more to say. He went at both rappers and even made a joke about Mase’s relationship with Diddy. “Boys ain’t gonna do nothing about it either,” he wrote. “(If) Cam’ron ever raises his hand like that I’ll kick him out right now you old wimp. Mase go do it with Diddy again play with your man damn boy.” It was the following claim, however, that really caught fans’ attention. Stevenson decided to beat Cam and Mase at their own game. “I’m going in the studio next week,” he tweeted. “I’ll be putting out a hit watch.”

To be clear, Shakur Stevenson never released any music. He tried to attack Mase from a musical perspective, claiming the rapper had a “failed career.” This is where Cam got to really attack the boxer. “Mase was Michael Jackson after Michael Jackson, n**ga,” Cam’ron tweeted. “Before Drake. He sold five million in three weeks… Mase is a million percent better rapper than you are a boxer!” However, if Shakur Stevenson lives up to his claim, fans will find out if he can keep up with Cam and Mase on wax.
