The New York Jets announced a multi-year partnership with Caldwell University on July 9, making the school an official college partner.

From next spring, the following features of the agreement will apply:

  • The partners will work together to create classroom-based and independent study projects for students. This work will include developing Jets-centered programs and real-world experiences for students.
  • Caldwell will serve as a presenting partner on a series from 1JD Entertainment, the production division of the Florham Park football team. “Origins” tells the story of the Jets’ players’ beginnings.
  • The university also receives branding resources such as stadium signage and commercials during Jets game broadcasts on iHearts Q104.3FM.

Jeff Fernandez, vice president of business development and ventures for the Jets, said the organization is excited to welcome the Caldwell-based private Catholic university to its family. He described Caldwell as a historic institution with a long tradition of educating the best and brightest women and men.

“We want to work with them not only to expand their knowledge and skills, but also to provide them with valuable experience for their career goals,” said Fernandez. “It’s important that we help raise the profile and awareness of all the great things about Caldwell University.”

Jeffrey Senese will be the 10th president of Caldwell University.

Caldwell President Jeff Senese echoed that sentiment. Senese said the university is honored and excited to partner with the Jets organization.

“And we look forward to working with them to advance our mission of educating women and men for today’s society – for success – and helping them make further positive impacts on society,” Senese said. “We can’t think of any other professional organization or team we can partner with to help students become better leaders, support the goals of our faculty and staff – and make a difference in our communities.”
