New York’s famous Prince Street Pizza is coming to Chicago’s West Loop this fall

One of New York’s most famous pizzerias is coming to Chicago.

Prince Street Pizza plans to open a West Loop location this fall at 939 W. Randolph St, which was previously home to Stephanie Izard’s private event space Little Goat Kitchen. The restaurant was founded in 2012 on Manhattan’s Prince Street and now has 13 locations in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Southern California and Toronto. Seoul Taco owner David Choi will serve as chief operator of the Chicago location.

“We are thrilled to open Prince Street Pizza in Chicago as it is one of America’s top foodie cities known for its incredible pizza. Our signature Sicilian pizzas are a great blend of the city’s famous tavern and deep-dish styles and we look forward to introducing them to Fulton Market this fall. It’s an honor to be surrounded by some of Chicago’s best restaurants, in a neighborhood with such a vibrant food culture,” said Lawrence Longo, co-founder of Prince Street Pizza, in a press release.

Prince Street Pizza offers “Sicilian SoHo Squares” – with a thick, crispy and fluffy crust – as well as Neapolitan pizzas. The special creation is the Spicy Spring, a slice topped with Fra Diavolo sauce, pepperoni, fresh mozzarella and Pecorino Romano. Exclusive Chicago menus are also planned for the new restaurant.

This isn’t the first time a popular New York pizzeria has expanded to the Midwest. Paulie Gee’san import from Brooklyn, currently has two locations in Chicago and Roberta’s was briefly part of the Urbanspace Food Hall in the Loop a few years ago.
