Sabrina Carpenter’s aunt is famous voice actress Nancy Cartwright and I am shocked

Sabrina Carpenter is everyone’s favorite pop girl right now. From her performance at Coachella to her mega-viral music video for “Please Please Please”, With her dreamy real-life boyfriend Barry Keoghan, Carpenter is reaching new heights in her career. With catchy pop hits and an incredible stage presence, it’s no surprise that she’s taking over the world. But it seems talent runs in Carpenter’s family, because a fellow celebrity just revealed they’re related, and the internet is SHOCKED.

Nancy Cartwright is the iconic voice of the popular cartoon character Bart Simpson from The simpsons. She is also the voice of Rufus from Kim Possible and Chuckie from The Rugrats. On July 9, Cartwright posted a video on TikTok revealing that she is Carpenter’s aunt. “She’s pretty incredible,” Cartwright said in the video. “Isn’t that incredible? To find out that someone you may have known for a while has known this little 10-year-old boy for 35 years, and some of you have known a lot less. To find out that I’m related to this superstar.”

Both Cartwright and Carpenter have been on Disney Channel shows. We grew up with them, so it’s crazy to make the connection that they’re related.

Although many people have only recently discovered this, fans of the pop star learned about it two years ago through her Wired Autocomplete interview. When asked “What is Sabrina Carpenter’s relationship to Nancy Cartwright?” she replied, “She’s my father’s sister. She’s the voice of Bart Simpson, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of him. And also 89 other characters on The Simpsons and a number of other shows, and like Rufus (from) Kim Possibleand Chuckie and the Rugrats are just everything, so iconic. We work at opposite ends of the industry, but I’ve learned so much just by watching her, and she’s so talented.”

Before the haters start making accusations about the Nepo baby, Carpenter has worked extremely hard for years to get to where she is now. She’s actually grateful for how everything turned out for her. “I never had instant luck, and now I’m very happy because I have a lot of experience. Even though I’m light years ahead, I’d rather feel like I’m behind and have the ambition to think, ‘Oh, I can always work a little harder. I can always try something new.'”Carpenter told Cosmopolitan in her March 2024 cover story.

Carpenter won the diversity Hitmakers Rising Artist Award 2023 and gave a memorable speech. “In moments of frustration and confusion, it can feel like a disappointment, but it turns out it’s actually a very good thing. And I really loved learning the mindset of a slow climb.”

After his opening act for Taylor Swift during The Epoch Tour, Carpenter’s success continued to grow. Her latest songs “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” brought her to the highest level of success on the Billboard charts in her career. “Please Please Please” is her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Espresso” is currently number 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

With her new album Short and sweet With her new album coming out in August and her North American tour set to kick off later this year, it’s safe to say that 2024 is officially Carpenter’s year.
