Jason Aldean reveals what he would like to undo in country music

Jason Aldean has been a mainstay in country music for nearly two decades, producing one hit after another and building a huge fan base.

Aldean’s words carry weight not only with his fans but also with his critics.

What would Jason Aldean change about country music?

In conversation with the singer of “Let Your Boys Be Country” in the latest episode of Taste of Country Nights with Evan Paul on demandI asked him exactly that question.

Aldean sat up straight in his chair and quickly gave a decisive, opinionated answer.

Social media…all across the board, get rid of it.

The “My Kinda Party” singer continued, “This is going to be a very unpopular answer, but I just think that social media, when used correctly, is great. Right? When used correctly, it’s fantastic. But like anything, people take advantage of things and make them into something they shouldn’t be.”

Aldean continued with his sharply worded answer.

“For me, it’s over, I don’t know, I just think, you know, you see people who just can’t get away from their phones, you know, they’re just, you know, and they’re so blind to what’s going on in the outside world, it drives me crazy.”

People asked Aldean why he didn’t post more on social media as he continued to share more insights into his daily life.

“So people wonder why I don’t post more than I do on Instagram and things like that. They say, ‘I post because I don’t make a living off of this thing.’ So if I could get something off my chest, it would probably be that.”

Evan Paul is the host of Taste of Country Nights, a syndicated radio show heard nightly from 7pm-midnight on over 130 country radio stations nationwide. He plays the best new country music and interviews today’s top stars including Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Dan + Shay, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Lady A and more!
