UCLA replaces future Georgia-Auburn series with Utah, California

The UCLA Bruins have announced several changes to their future football schedule, including the cancellation of two SEC home-and-away games and the addition of series against two former Pac-12 opponents.

Previously, UCLA was scheduled to play a home-and-away series against the Georgia Bulldogs, beginning on August 30, 2025 in Pasadena, California, and ending on September 5, 2026 in Athens, Georgia.

The Bruins were also scheduled to host the Auburn Tigers on September 4, 2027, before resuming play on September 2, 2028. Both the Georgia and Auburn series were canceled by mutual agreement, UCLA’s announcement said.

Instead of facing Georgia in 2025, UCLA will play a home-and-away series with the Utah Utes at the Rose Bowl on August 30, 2025. The Bruins will repeat the trip five seasons later on September 30 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.

UCLA will begin play in the Big Ten Conference this fall, while Utah will compete in the Big 12 Conference.

UCLA also has a four-game home-and-away series scheduled with the California Golden Bears. The two schools will meet on September 5, 2026, and September 2, 2028, at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California. The games will take place on September 4, 2027, and September 15, 2029, at the Rose Bowl.

Cal will begin play in the ACC in 2024.

The Bruins also confirmed two games against the UC Davis Aggies that were previously reported. UCLA will host UC Davis again on August 27, 2027, and then two seasons later on September 1, 2029.

UCLA’s 2027 home game against UC Davis was previously moved from August 28 (week zero) to September 4, but has now been moved back to August 28 to accommodate the rescheduled game in California.
