Chris Jericho comments on John Cena’s announcement of his farewell tour

Wrestling veteran Chris Jericho is confident that fans are in for a great time after John Cena announced his farewell tour before ending his career.

Chris Jericho recently appeared at McGuire on Wrestling Podcast and he was asked to share his insights on Cena’s farewell tour. The former WWE star was told that Cena’s retirement means he has outlived the 16-time world champion. Jericho agreed, but said that John Cena always had a great connection with his fans and this is a great way to end his career.

“My career has been longer than John Cena’s. No, I mean, it’s great. John has always loved wrestling and he has a great connection with the fans, so I think it’s a cool way to handle it.”

The Learning Tree is confident that Cena will focus on making sure the retirement plans go well and he believes fans will enjoy seeing Cena make his final appearance in the ring. He said:

“People know it is, and John is not the type to say anything lightly, so I’m sure he’s focused on this and worked with the company to make sure it’s right. I’m sure it’s going to be a really great year and a half for Cena fans and for John Cena himself.”

John Cena’s retirement

“The Leader of Cenation” made his surprise comeback last Saturday at WWE Money In The Bank PLE at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. He shocked fans by announcing that he will retire next year. However, he did not reveal when and where he will have his final match.

However, he made it clear that next year will be his last time competing in the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania. During the post-show press conference, he revealed more details about his upcoming farewell tour.
