Mustard releases new song “Parking Lot” feat. Travis Scott: Listen

Hot out The Pop Out: Ken and Friends Concert, Mustard is back with new music, and this time with none other than rapper Travis Scott. In an ongoing series of releases, Mustard has teased his upcoming album Faith of a mustard seed (FOAM), and recently made his fans curious with a video with Travis Scott in the studio on his social networks.

The track takes an interesting approach with tuned and choppy vocal samples over a trap bounce that forms the basis for Travis’ auto-tuned vocal experiments. With easy cadences that quickly stick, Travis keeps a steady tempo here and comes across as confident and psychedelic as ever.

For Travis, the timing certainly couldn’t have been better; the rapper was last seen casually poking fun at his own mugshot and tweeting “lol” following his recent arrest. Undeterred by the misfortune, he even remained excited about his Circus Maximus tour, which kicks off in 6 days.

As far as his music and future plans go, the incident was obviously not a huge let-down. Travis had already expressed his excitement for the track’s release. He even asked Mustard to release the song in the comments section of Mustard’s IG promo! Following the gem “Whole Lotta Lovin,” the track certainly has the potential to have the same, if not greater, impact on listeners. As for us, we’ll leave it up to you to decide what you think of it.
