Jon Bon Jovi’s mother, Carol Bongiovi, died three days before her 84th birthday.

The rocker confirmed his mother’s death to Page Six on Tuesday and remembered her as a “force to be reckoned with.”

The 62-year-old Grammy winner continued: “Her spirit and can-do attitude have shaped this family. We will miss her very much.”

Bon Jovi made the statement on behalf of his family, which includes her husband of 63 years, John Bongiovi Sr., her sons Anthony Bongiovi and Matthew Bongiovi, and their wives Nina and Desiree.

Carol also leaves behind eight grandchildren.

Bon Jovi is the father of four children: With his wife Dorothea Hurley, the singer has children Stephanie (31), Jesse (29), Jake (22) and Romeo (20).

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer has long been a fan of Carol, as she was an early supporter of his career – and the 83-year-old even founded his own fan club of the same name.

“(My parents) were always supportive, which was incredible looking back,” Bon Jovi told The Big Issue in 2020 about forming his band as a teenager.

“I could get home at one or two in the morning and still have to be at school at eight,” he recalled. “They just said, ‘Show up to school on time, you know it’s your responsibility, but pursue your dream.'”

Before Carol became a mother, she was a Playboy bunny and a member of the US Marine Corps.

She met John while serving and the couple raised their family in Sayreville, NJ before eventually settling in Holmdel, NJ.

Bon Jovi has had a busy year; in April, his band’s Hulu docuseries, “Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” aired.

The musician caused a stir with his scandalous comments about his marriage during press work for the project. He admitted that he was not a “saint” and confessed that he “got away with murder.”

In addition, two of the guitarist’s children made headlines with their weddings: Jesse walked down the aisle in Las Vegas in May and Jake married “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobbie Brown in the same month.
