Love Island’s Wil Anderson speaks out on shock dumping after viewers were furious at Uma’s decision

Just hours after a nation of Love Island Fans saw him brutally ejected from the villa after a stunning reunion ceremony. Wil Anderson has spoken out.

However, it wasn’t just the Geordie building estimator who was fired during Tuesday night’s dizzying episode; his partner Uma Jammeh also voluntarily left the show to be with him.

The lookalike Love Island Exit aired last night and moved hundreds of viewers to tears after Uma immediately declared, “I’m leaving,” after Wil received that dreaded text message.

Many viewers were angry at Uma for choosing to leave with Wil, especially after he kissed Lucy in Casa Amor.

One wrote: “I’m embarrassed for Uma. Did she decide to go for WILL??!? Girl get the fuck up.”

Another said, “Uma, I’m trying to feel sorry for you, but you’re leaving me for a man who wanted to get back together with another girl after three days.”

Now, hours after the episode aired, Wil has spoken out about his friend’s decision to follow him out of the villa, as well as what he thinks their future will hold.

Speaking to ITV producers, the controversial character admitted he “couldn’t be happier” that the couple left the show hand in hand.

“I left with the girl I was supposed to pick up,” he claimed. “She’s amazing and her leaving proves how much she cares about me. So this is the next step in our journey together.”

The 23-year-old also stressed that he was “blown away” by Uma’s decision.

“I had my eye on her before I went in there. We started talking and I knew immediately that she was the one I wanted. I didn’t want to be with anyone else. She is so mature and articulate and a decent woman.

“It was going so well, but then of course Casa came along. I felt like I owed it to myself to explore. That caused a few problems, but it made me realise I wanted a future with Uma.”

Wil continued: “Coming back into the villa wasn’t exactly easy and from then on it was about proving to her how I really felt. I think I tried to prove it in as many ways as I could.”

“I feel like what I did and said to her was enough for her to end her journey with me. That makes me feel great. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

“I was there for three and a half weeks and basically left with a friend.”
