Love Live Local prepares for its twelfth festival season

HYANNIS – Love Live Local is preparing to kick off the 12th season of the Love Local Festival on July 28 at Aselton Park in Hyannis, bringing together local artisans, artists, musicians and the general public to celebrate the importance of shopping local.

The scenic event overlooking Hyannis Harbor is family-friendly. Over eighty artists and brands will appear for the day, plus numerous food trucks, a craft beverage garden for adults featuring beverages from Devil’s Purse Brewing Company and Truro Vineyards, lawn games, and a children’s area run by the Cape Cod Maritime Museum.

For many brands, the festival is a unique opportunity to meet customers in person that they might otherwise never meet.

“Julyfest is truly my favorite event on my summer calendar,” says Caroline Laye, founder of Atlantic Soap Co. “I get to reconnect with clients and friends, some of whom I only see once a year at the festival, and I always enjoy the community atmosphere, fun and laughter.”

Commenting on the event’s continued popularity, Amanda Converse, CEO of Love Live Local, said: “We are grateful that over so many summer seasons, visitors have experienced the strong sense of community and place that we work hard to foster. They have also internalised the message of how important supporting small businesses is to our local economy.”

Following this month’s event, the next edition of the triennial event will take place on the last Sunday in September.
