Lena Dunham talks about her relationship with Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s girlfriend Lena Dunham recently revealed that she wanted to “protect” the singer “in every way.”

In conversation with the New York Times, Lena, who is dealing with the Antihero Hitmaker after she sang Taylor’s Red album “Triumphant” on Twitter in 2012, claiming, “I’m always very protective of her in every way. Probably the two things I get asked most in life are ‘What’s Taylor like?’ and ‘Can I get tickets to the Eras tour?’ And usually my answer to both questions is ‘no,’ but I will say she is everything you could want her to be.”

She had high praise for the singer, with whom Dunham shared the stage during Swift’s 1989 world tour, adding: “She’s kind, she’s devoted, she’s thoughtful, she’s emotional, she’s damn funny. I think my feeling sometimes is, ‘Doesn’t she give us enough, people?'”

The 38-year-old further reflected on her relationship with Taylor, who was also a bridesmaid at the American director’s wedding in 2021.

She explained: “Even before Taylor and I were friends, I always felt such a deep connection to her music because it’s so much about, ‘If you don’t want to see me, if you’re so reluctant to understand what’s in front of you and what I’m trying to say, why don’t I just put on a black catsuit and go completely into villain mode?'”
