Eric Roberts, known for his role in “The Dark Knight,” told the podcast “Still Here Hollywood” on July 8 that he shouldn’t talk about his famous family, but sometimes does anyway.

When host Steve Kmetko asked about his sister Julia Roberts, Eric said they would have to ask her directly. He explained that he loved his sister but couldn’t talk about her because she wouldn’t want him to.

Eric also mentioned that his daughter Emma Roberts had also advised him not to talk about her. Despite this, he admitted that he occasionally stumbled and still talked about her. He reiterated that he shouldn’t talk about his sister or his daughter, but sometimes did.

Despite being advised to remain silent, Eric, a proud father, couldn’t help but express his admiration for Emma’s impressive acting career. He has Emma in common with his ex Kelly Cunningham. He expressed his love for his daughter’s work and his disbelief at how amazing she had turned out, adding that he was extremely proud of her.

Eric stressed his admiration for Emma’s recent performances, especially since her role in “Maybe I Do”. He expressed his pride, saying that she has overwhelmed him with pride and happiness with each new achievement and that he is delighted to be her father.

When asked if he contributed to Emma’s success, Eric modestly stated that he had done “absolutely nothing” except tell her his name.

Eric’s relationship with his family, including Julia, has been complicated over the years. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2018, he spoke about how his past drug use led to a period of estrangement from Julia and her other sister, Lisa Roberts Gillan. He mentioned that he wouldn’t call it a fight, but acknowledged that he was difficult to be around because of his behavior. He said that everyone in his world needed a break from him sometimes, including Julia.

The siblings were eventually reunited when Julia gave birth to twins Phinnaeus and Hazel on November 28, 2004. She shares the twins with her husband Danny Moder. The couple also has another child, Henry Daniel, born on June 18, 2007.
